Health Insurance and Blepharoplasty

Does Health Insurance Cover Blepharoplasty?

Typically, health insurance does not cover cosmetic plastic surgery. We have heard of the rare case where an insurance company has deemed blepharoplasty "medically necessary" and paid for it, but it is the exception and not the rule.  Since most people undergoing blepharoplasty do so because they want to look younger and not because drooping eyelids interfere with their vision, we feel that saying, "No, insurance does not cover blepharoplasty" is almost always a correct answer.
