BOTOX® or Myobloc?
Both BOTOX® and Myobloc are injectable diluted solutions of botulinum toxin.  Myobloc® is made by Elan, while BOTOX® is an Allergan product. (The names are registered trademarks of their respective makers.)

From a cost perspective, there is not a significant difference in the cost of Myobloc® vs. BOTOX®.

 

How much does BOTOX® cost?

According to national surveys done by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the average cost of a single BOTOX® treatment was just about $400 in 2002.  If you are having more than one site treated, then the cost may be higher.

Unlike most cosmetic procedures we list here on FaceForum, there are no anesthesia or operating room charges to factor in when you're having BOTOX® treatments.  That means the $400 average fee is the average total fee for BOTOX®.
