How much does cheek augmentation cost?

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the average plastic surgeon's fee for cheek augmentation was $2,280 in 2002. The plastic surgeon's fee does not include the cost of the cheek implants themselves, nor does it include the surgical facility's cost or the cost of anesthesia.  Prescription medication, such as antibiotics and pain medicine are also an additional cost to consider.

When comparing cheek augmentation costs between different plastic surgeons, use a "total cost" figure that includes the surgeon's fee, cheek implant costs, operating facility charges, and any other anticipated costs.

Does insurance cover cheek augmentation?

In the case of cheek augmentation for cosmetic reasons, you should not expect your health insurance to cover any of the cost. If you are having reconstructive cheek surgery due to illness of accident, your medical insurance may cover some or all of the costs.
