Types of Lasers
There are three main categories of lasers, CO2, Erbium and fractional. Fractional laser may be either CO2 or Erbium.

What Parts of My Body Can Be Treated with Laser Skin Treatments?

Older lasers principally treat the face and, in some case, the neck. Some of the newer lasers can be used on other parts of the body as well. For example, the new fractionated lasers, including the Fraxel® Laser, can be effective on the face, neck, hands, breasts, stomach, buttocks, hips, and thighs. Lasers used on the body are generally used to remove stretch marks and tighten loose skin.
