Facial Reconstruction in Birmingham

Due to Dr. Core’s long experience in cosmetic facial plastic surgery and reconstructive surgery, he maintains a special interest in facial reconstruction. Dr. Core sees many patients who have undergone procedures for skin cancer which have left them with significant disfigurement, and he reconstructs these on a routine basis. This includes all areas of the face: eyes, ears, nose, and lips.

In addition, Dr. Core sees patients after traumatic injuries involving any area of the face. Plastic surgeons are the only surgeons trained in craniofacial surgery, as well as cosmetic and reconstructive microsurgery. This give plastic surgeons the broadest training and capability for all facial surgery – both cosmetic and reconstructive; therefore, plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (like Dr. Core) are the true “facial specialists”.

If you have sustained a significant facial trauma due to any of these conditions, Dr. Core has special expertise in facial reconstruction, which may be of benefit to you. You can contact Core Plastic Surgery at (205) 578-7664.
