About the Doctors
Michael J. Columbus, M.D. - received his undergraduate degree at Jefferson Medical College. His general surgery residency was performed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. His plastic surgery residency was at the University of Cincinnati Cosmetic and his surgery fellowship with Drs. Baker, Gordon, and Stuzin in Miami, Florida. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1992 and the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1994.
Gene E. Ireland,* M.D. - received his B.A. at the University of Kansas, D.D.S. at the University of Missouri and his M.D. at the University of Connecticut. His oral surgery residency took place at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX, his plastic surgery residency at the University of Virginia and his plastic surgery Fellowship at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery American and the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Lawrence C. Kurtzman,* M.D. - Dr. Kurtzman finished his plastic surgery training at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1987. He completed his fellowship training in cosmetic surgery in Miami, Florida and has specialized training in plastic surgery of the eye and orbit. Since finishing his training, he has been involved in a very busy plastic surgery practice in the Cincinnati area, both as a faculty member at the University of Cincinnati and in private practice. Dr. Kurtzman specializes in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Michael G. Leadbetter,* M.D. - attended Ohio State University College of Medicine and performed his general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico and plastic surgery residency at The Christ Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Richard B. Williams,* M.D. - received his B.S. at the University of Kentucky, and M.D. at the University of Kentucky. He did his surgery internship at Indiana University Medical Center, general surgery residency at Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati and plastic surgery residency at Ohio State University. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
Robert P. Hummel, M.D. - received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Duke University, his M.D. at the University of Cincinnati, Medical College and performed his residencies in both general surgery and plastic, reconstructive and hand surgery at the University of Cincinnati Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
