He has undergone extensive training, completing eight years of post doctoral training and is recognized in the community as an expert in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
About Dr. Serota
Dr. Serota has been in practice in Aurora for almost 15 years. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery, and an active member of The American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
He is a native of Philadelphia. After completing his undergraduate degree at Pennsylvania State University, he received his medical degree at the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Serota completed his general surgery residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Chicago and his Plastic Surgery residency and Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of New Mexico. He has been an Instructor in Surgery at Rush Medical College and the University of Colorado Health Services Center.
Dr. Serota is actively involved in the hospital medical staff and served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Aurora Regional Medical Center from 1993 to 1996. He enjoys teaching and has lectured throughout the Rocky Mountain area.
Dr. and Mrs. Serota have two teenage sons and enjoy an active lifestyle with involvement in the community, volunteer, and religious organizations.
