About Dr.
Eng-Peng Tan
Dr.
Eng-Peng Tan has dedicated his career to performing and perfecting the
art of Cosmetic Surgery.
He graduated from the University
of Singapore in 1968. In a professional surgical examination conducted in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in
1971, was awarded the Alhady Gold Medal for graduating Dux. He undertook
general surgical training in Edinburgh under the then President of the Royal
College of Surgeons, Mr. Alexander Ross.
Dr Tan trained in plastic and
reconstructive surgery in some of Britain's leading hospitals, including
Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, where he worked with Dr.
D.C. Bohenham, past President of the British Association of Plastic
Surgeons. Establishing his practice in Sydney in 1979, he now practices
exclusively in Cosmetic Surgery. Two state-of-the-art operating theatres are
staffed by a team of specialist nurses and a specialist anesthetist.
Dr.
Tan believes that plastic surgery is his calling. He has been referred to as
'a Sculptor of human happiness.' He performs his operations in silence, in
order to maintain total concentration on his patients. His ethical and
professional standards are of the highest caliber.
A pioneer of computer imaging
and virtual consultations in cosmetic surgery in Australia, Dr.
Tan places great importance on keeping up to date with the latest techniques
and technology, traveling to the USA frequently to update and attend
selected seminars every year.
He is a frequent guest on
television programs and is featured regularly in leading fashion and beauty
magazines. Over 25 years of working with Cosmetic Surgery Patients has
allowed Dr. Tan to develop an insight into human
nature that plays an important part in his consultation methods.

Dr.
Tan was born in Malaysia in 1944, and to herald the end of WWII was named
Eng Peng which means Eternal Peace. He comes from a family of nine doctors.
He is married and has two children in the medical profession.
He is a founding trustee of the
Australian Chinese Charity Foundation. Dr. Tan was
the first Director of Welfare in the Australian Chinese Medical Association.
Dr.
Tan is multi-lingual, speaking fluent English, Malaysian, Indonesian and
multiple Chinese dialects.
