Dr. W. Byron Barber

William Byron Barber II is regarded as one of the most prominent plastic surgeons in his field. Dr. Barber leverages eighteen years of surgical experience, during which time he has been voted Top Surgeon by the Research Council of America for five consecutive years, is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, maintains memberships with the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and is past President of both Triad Plastic Surgery and North Carolina Society of Plastic Surgeons. Additionally, Dr. Barber is currently Vice-President for the Southeast Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery for Moses Cone Hospital System.

Committed to maintaining the highest standards in plastic surgery, Dr.Barber specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, including face and neck lift, eyelid rejuvenation, and brow lift. His expertise also includes body contouring procedures such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, and removal of excess skin after massive weight loss. A magna cum laude graduate from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Dr. Barber received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed his general surgery residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and his plastic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center. Dr Barber was also the Christine Kleinert Fellow at the University of Louisville.

Married to Henrietta D. Barber of Georgetown, S.C., Dr. Barber and his wife have three children. One of his children attends Wofford College and another is at the University of South Carolina. The third child is attending high school.
