How Long Will Dermal Fillers Last?
Dermal fillers can have very different lives in our bodies. Some last for only a few months while others such as fat injections can be permanent. A note on collagen fillers: while most collagen fillers only last 3-4 months, there are several new products that have the potential to last much longer. Artefil® combines cow collagen with polymethylmethacrylate and may be a permanent solution. Zyderm® and Zyplast® are pig-based collagen fillers that are pending FDA approval. Zyderm® and Zyplast® may last 6-12 months.
