After Microdermabrasion - Recovery

After Microdermabrasion

What To Expect After The Procedure

Getting results - The cost of microdermabrasion treatments

After you have microdermabrasion, your skin may feel like it does when you have sunburn or windburn. This may be accompanied by a felling of tightness or dryness of the skin. This is temporary.

Some people experience peeling in the treated areas. You should keep your skin moisturized after your microdermabrasion treatment and you should wear a sunscreen with an SPF or 15 or higher. The moisturizer will help to keep the peeling to a minimum. Your plastic surgeon's office may have some recommendations for the type of products you should use.

If you have a deep treatment or if you have microdermabrasion to remove blemishes, you may experience some redness, depending on how sensitive your skin is. This redness, if it occurs, is usually mild occurs a few hours after your microdermabrasion treatment. The redness may persist for a few days and is similar to a sunburn.
