Fraxel® Laser Treatments - Which Areas Can Benefit?
Article reviewed by: M. Kirk Moore, M.D. - West Jordan, Utah
Fraxel® Laser treatment can be effective on the face, neck, hands, breasts, stomach, buttocks, hips, and thighs. This is in direct contrast to older laser technologies that could only be used on the face. On the face, neck and hands, Fraxel® Laser skin resurfacing is primarily used to counteract the effects of aging and acne scars. Age spots, brown spots, sun spots, blemishes, melasma, acne scars, wrinkles, and pore size can all be treated effectively in these areas with Fraxel® Lasers. Fraxel® Laser treatment on other parts of the body has been shown to have a significant effect on stretch marks. Use of the Fraxel® Laser to lessen or eliminate the appearance of stretch marks on the breasts, stomach, buttocks, thighs and hips has been highly effective.
